Cory Gould has been drawn to animals for as long as he can remember—literally.

Diagnosed with high-functioning autism at age 4 and considered twice exceptional, Cory experiences the world with a rare mix of deep focus, curiosity, and his ASD super power - a retention for all things animal and drawing skills. His very first word? “’ippo” (translation: hippo, obviously). A strong start.

Since then, his love for animals has only grown:

  • 🦒 74 zoos and or aquariums, nature centers visited (and counting)

  • 📚 A lifelong collector of animal books and zoo maps

  • 🧠 An encyclopedic knowledge of the animal kingdom that tends to surprise even the zookeepers and docents.

Now 25 (as of June!), Cory is a college graduate with honors, an emerging author and illustrator, and someone who can make you laugh, think, and learn—all in the span of one interaction.

He’s smart, compassionate, witty, and yes… very into puns. (Prepare your shelf for some good ones.)
